| Summer is a sweet, light colored
palomino Morgan mare that I obtained from Jackie Moehling of
VA. She has a wonderful disposition, and a very
Morgany look about her, with a high neckset, short back,
powerful hindquarters, nice sloping shoulder and of course a
sweet, pretty head with tippy ears and big eyes.
Summer has had several foals, including a wonderful Palomino
Stallion who now stands at stud at Universal Morgans.
I plan on crossing her eventually with Rock, and later to
Copper. She is also broke to ride, so I will enjoy
trail riding on her, and possibly showing her in dressage later. |
Summer came home July 07 from being leased out to a dressage trainer
friend of mine. Summer was ridden by her on the trails and in the
arena early in the pregnancy. She is well broke, just needs more
miles. She has a powerful walk, an energetic trot yet not too fast.
Summer also moves off the leg well, will leg yield with little pressure. I
have enjoyed riding her lately, she has such a good attitude and seems to
enjoy going out on rides.
