Carringtons
Choctaw or "Rock" as we call him, is a stunning
black, old type stallion with wonderful foundation
bloodlines. I bought him Dec 30 '04, after seeing him
literally standing in the midst of a junkyard. Due to the
death of his breeder, Keith Carrington, circumstances
brought him to a person who ran a junkyard. It was
incredible that a horse like this was in such a place.
Rock stands
right at 14 hands and is a
coal black with a lovely, thick, wavy black mane that reaches past
the point of his shoulder. He has a
fine, exotic head with lovely, big, kind eyes that reflect
his sweet, calm disposition. He has a perfect arched neck
with a laid back shoulder that flows well into his short
back. His topline is perfect, with a long hip and a
wonderful croup.

Choctaws bloodlines are the Sweets and
Pineland lines. The Sweets lines are heavy with Archie O,
who is a horse that I've
greatly admired for his Morgan typeyness. Other horses from
the Sweets Lakota line include T-Bone Bimbo, Rhythms Bimbo,
Sky Chief and De Jarnette lines.
From
the Pineland lines, Joe Young's prefix, comes Pineland Miss
Dolly, a 1978 Chestnut mare. She is by Pineland Sir Major
out of Pineland Gypsy Finis, which brings in Pineland Smoky
Joe and Jolly Roger blood. Gypsy Field was brought to
Georgia by Mr. Young from California. She is a Sonfield daughter
who was out of Luetta A, a Querido daughter.

Rock will be standing at stud in
Lexington, Ga. for the 2007 season. His stud fee is $500.00 introductory
price to a limited number of mares. I'm sure he will pass on
his sweet personality, exotic head, and stunning Morgan build.
I'm excited to see his get next year!
