Hast thou given the horse strength? Hast thou clothed his neck with thunder?
Cans't thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? The glory of his nostrils is terrible.
He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength: he goeth on to meet the armed men.
He mocketh at fear, and is not affrighted, neither turneth he back from the sword.

Stonelake Morgans  is a small Morgan horse farm located in Northeast Georgia.  We are a small farm, usually raising only one to three foals per year. The foals we have are loved and played with continuously, resulting in a very family oriented horse who loves to be with people. At Stonelake Morgans, through the years of owning horses, I have come to value disposition as much as conformation.  I can forgive minor conformation faults, but a bad disposition is not one to be bred on, thus will be culled out when needed.  Luckily, that is not found often in the Morgan breed.
Our new emphasis is on breeding for quality color Morgans, Pinto Morgans, and Sport Morgan ponies.  We have registered Morgans, not Morgan-pony crosses.  So many people want a "big" horse, yet they don't need size, they need brawn and good bone, along with a great temperament and good conformation.  Children certainly don't need to be on a 15.2 hand horse or larger, they learn better and are more comfortable on a compatibly sized horse.  A large horse can intimidate a beginner rider, whether it is a child or an adult.  Or even someone experienced, but dealing with past issues from previous bad experiences with a horse.  I believe there is a need for the Pony Morgan and I hope to be able to help fill that need with good tempered, beautiful, Sport Morgan Ponies sized under 14.2 hands with quality gaits useful in the sport disciplines.

At Stud

Carringtons Choctaw

We have a variety of bloodlines, with Brunk, Lippitt, Mid-Western and Western Working Family being the basis of our breeding program. In addition, we have a variety of color...bay, black, chestnut, dun, palomino cremello, and buckskin.  Now we also have the new colt, "Stoney" who carries the rare Pinto gene.  I plan to cross him on a few mares in 2008.
Every horse here is happy and loved.  Occasionally, one is for sale to a special home. Make it yours!

At Stud, Carrington's Choctaw, or "Rock" as we call him, is a 10 year old coal black 14h Morgan stallion with impeccable Western and Mid-West breeding. He is a stunning horse, and a wonderful representation of the breed with his kind and sensible personality.  Go to his page for more information and pictures!     Also at stud is Cliffviews Copper Jubilee, a wonderful palomino, and Journeys Doubletake, a black splash colt.    I love all these boys, and think the world of them.  They all have wonderful dispositions, and the added possibility of a variety of color and the pinto gene.
